Solve : My laptop makes a clicking sound on its own?

Answer»

IT sounds like a new web page is opened
IT only makes this noise when i am connected to the internet
My OS is windows 7, HP 620, internal ram is 2gb. Using SuperAntiSpyware and Norton internet security also spybot search and destroy.SAS and Spybot are both antispyware and you should not use them both. Secondly, Spybot is outdated so you should keep SAS and add another anti malware software  http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free. Make sure to uninstall Spybot then try making a full scan on SAS and Mbam alternately after updating both security softwares. Quote from: jason2074 on July 07, 2011, 11:17:12 AM

There is absolutely no reason NOT to use multiple anti spyware programs. I'm not a FAN of spybot, but there certainly no reason not to use it along with SAS. And why would you say he can't use two anti malware programs and then tell him to use SAS and MalwareBytes? And what does any of this have to do with the clicking problem?

ayuban2 - the current best of breed malware apps are MalwareBytes and Super AntiSpyware. Either or both of those are my recommendation. As for the clicking sound, from where does it sound like it originates?Allan-The sound COMES from the speakers and after i used the MalwareBytes the sound still continues.Exactly when do you hear the sound (what action precipitates the sound)?http://www.winhelponline.com/blog/disable-start-navigation-clicking-sound-in-ie/I'm not sure, but usually when I am connected to the internet and I hear three clicks. You could always undo any settings on the given LINK so its always best to follow it first. Also, please provide as much info. on what particular browser, websites. Are these certain clicks on SITES with many Advertisements posted or being loaded?
