Solve : "My Computer" very slow when opening up to see drives?

1.	Solve : "My Computer" very slow when opening up to see drives?
Answer» Windows XP Media Center, version 2002, Service pack 2. 1.99 GB of Ram, Hard drive: 270 GB, with 250 GM free. I try to open up "My Computer" and it takes a couple of minutes to view drives. Got any ideas what my PROBLEM could be? From Start/Programs/Accessories/System Tools RUN both diskcleanup and defrag...defrag MAY take awhile if it hasn't been run for awhile...Re-boot. Open My Computer and under Tools/Options make sure thumbnail view is turned off. Another reason for slow reaction times with My Computer is if one of the drives is having problems...check their STATUS in Disk Management to verify there are no issues, How many drives are in this machine ? ?
