Solve : My computer is not letting me play a game i bought on Yahoo!?? |

Answer» I bought Virtual Villagers 3 : The Secret City about a month ago and just yesterday it started acting funny. I closed out the game and tried to open it back up and it would say "cannot display the web page" so I uninstalled the game and reinstalled it and now it is not even showing up when i open it. I have my Windows Task Manager open and I can see it pop up in the "processes" and "applications" sections when I open the game, then it disappears. I tried to uninstall it again today and I even was able to activate my account AGAIN but then when I went to play it was doing the same thing (opening then disappearing). whats going on? I'm getting kind of mad considering the fact I just had my computer fixed and wiped clean of ALL files. (not sure what that's called) but I had not been having any problems with it since now. I know its not the game because it was working just fine until yesterday. please help! When you re-installed it, did you download the files again from Yahoo? If not, try to see if you can do so, with out paying extra of course. I think your best bet would be to re-download all files and start fresh, some of your files for he game sound like they are corrupt.Yes, I downloaded the game after I wiped my computer, and it was working fine. When I re-downloaded it I did go to the Yahoo! website and it did not make me purchase the game again, when I signed into my account it said "you have already PURCHASED this game. Thank you." or something along those words. I have re-installed the game about 3 times now and after I restarted my computer everytime. Still nothing. Its not showing me the page with "cannot display the web page" anymore, its just not showing up at all. It will act like its about to start, then just disappear.I would contact Yahoo's help department and find out if there is a certificate you are missing. That sounds like the issue.Well, I got it to work again, but then yesterday it started doing the same thing! sad thing is I dont remeber what I did, the first TIME, to fix it. I just dont get it. |
