Solve : music cd?

Answer»

Im really confused and I want to know the reason why when I copied a music cd to my harddrive it doesnt play and why the size of a file is 1Kb?

Thanks!Well, at that size it's obvious you didn't copy the cd to your hard drive.   Maybe it's something to do with the cd being "protected" by the producer.

Hi,

Did you actually "rip" CD? (i.e. copy it)

If you try and "drag and drop" or "cut and paste" the CD onto the computer all that gets copied is the CD name, which would explain the small size of the file.

Its relatively straight forword to copy CDS using media player 10, and its a free update if you have'nt already got it.

BenYa I know the process of ripping the cd by using media player.  But did you try what IVE said. Try to EXPLORE the contents of your cd. You will notice that the size of a file is only 1kb and you cannot play it when you TRANSFER it to your harddrive.Ya I know the process of ripping the contents of cd using media player. But have you tried what Ive said? Try to explore the contents of your music cd and you will notice that the size of a song is 1kb. You cannot play it when you transfer it to your harddrive. What did the cd manufacturer do to that cd? Any IDEA?
