Answer» I have been suing the secunia software scanner ONLINE, and every time I use it, it always says i have 3-4 versions of it on my computer. This doesnt seem RIGHT to me. They are found in the following locations: C:\Program Files\Common Files\AOL\Flasha.ocx C:\i386\Flash.ocx I already deleted one in system32, and then it was replaced when i re-installed adobe flash player, so i guess thats fine...
should I just leave these alone? thanks!p.s.- the versions of the 2 places i posted are versions 6 and 7....PERSONALLY, I WOULD just leave it. Unless you want to clear up the old files for more Hard Drive space.3-4 versions, or 3-4 files? In any case, I can see TWO.just because they are on the computer, doesn't mean they are installed. And you really can't tell which ones are installed anyway, and so you can't be sure which ones are safe to delete. (although the ones that are registered will likely be in system32)
have you tried unregistering all of them, and then registering the OCX version you wish to keep?
