Solve : MS Word Previewer Not Working in Outlook?

Answer» Posting this under 'Windows' as it feels LIKE it's an OFFICE-wide, or maybe even Windows-specific anomaly - and not just an Outlook issue...

When I RECEIVE a Word file in Outlook and click on it, I receive the message:

This file cannot be previewed because of an error with the following previewer: Microsoft Word previewer

I have DONE what I can find on Google:
  • Disabled all "Protected View" boxes in Word's Trust Center
  • Firewall is running fine, AFAIK
  • Emptied %userprofile%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\Content.Outlook\
  • Also tried deleting the key in HKLM\software\microsoft\windows\current version\preview handlers
  • Run Office's repair tool

Anyone have any thoughts?

Yes, I've rebooted.

PDF files seems to preview A-OK.

ThanksAlso - the file OPENS correctly, if I double-click on it. It's just the "Preview" functionality that fails.
