Solve : MP3 Player Help?

Answer»

When I hook up my mp3 player to my computer it makes the sound that you connected it but when I go into windows media player it dosen't detect it.

I have a Gateway with Windows Xp SP1
my mp3 is a Creative Zen Sleek Photo 20GB
ya and it says it compatable with XP SP1

*edit*
when I hook it up to my xbox 360 it says docked on the mp3 player but when I connect to my pc it dosent say anythingWindows Media Player doesent actually detect a drive, Windows itself does:
Look under My Computer and see if it shows up there. (It could be titled a few different things: Audio drive, Mass storage device, removable storage device)

Also, I would RECOMMEND upgrading to the newest version of Windows Media Player, Windows Media Player 11. HTTP://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/default.mspx (Note:  This is a BETA program still, however, it has reached a point in its development process that it is completely safe to use. You may uninstall this program any time you want, and go back to version 10)
