Answer» Why is it doing this? I don't want it and it messes up my internet connection. I KEEP having to use System Restore to go back to a point before it appeared. Can anyone tell me how to stop it please?!Nicky, have you uninstalled Mozilla Firefox through the Software MENU?
If you go back to a restore point where Mozilla Firefox has been INSTALLED, it seems logical to me that it would attempt to reinstall it self as the restore point included Mozilla Firefox.
Answer these questions so that we can better help you:
1. When has your problem first started? 2. Have you SCANNED for Viruses, Trojan Horses and Spyware? 3. If yes, what scanners have you used? -- If no, I advise you to do so immediatly The first time it appeared I tried uninstalling it but then my internet connection wouldn't work. I've scanned for viruses using EZAntivirus. I don't know what Trojan Horses are - what scan would you recommend?Mozilla Firefox should not change your Internet connection settings when being uninstalled. What type of connection do you have?
And have you installed Mozilla Firefox yourself, has another user done this or has it simply appeared?
As for scanners, I recommend the following:
AVG Free -- Anti Virus Spybot S&D -- Anti spyware Microsoft Antispyware -- Anti spyware. Windows XP Home & Professional only.
I did not install it - I don't know where its come from1. What type of connection do you have?
2. Mozilla Firefox does not APPEAR out of thin air, are there other users that you share the computer with?
3. Have you scanned for spyware?
