Answer» When I first turn my computer on the mouse (External) does not work after it boots up. If I shut down and re-start then it works. How do I fix this aggravating problem. Here is my system info:
Dell laptop 2.4 Ghz. P4 Processor 512 MB Ram 60 Gig. HD You may need to go to
1. Start 2. Settings 3. Configuration Menu 4. Mouse
And set the mouse from Accupointer to the mouse connected. If it a ps2 mouse....give it a clean....undo the plastic cover on the underside of it and clean the rollers from grease and DIRT.....the contacts in it maybe sticking...There are also PS/2 optical mice, Merlin.I know but lack of info.....on mouse used.....How do you like the expert title>?instead of a god.....Much better.Ok Raptor...I did what you said but I could not find the one CALLED Accupointer. There is 2 in the mouse settings...[glb]PS/2 compatible mouse [/glb]&[glb] HID- compliant mouse[/glb]. What now? Also I do not have a ball mouse I have a optical mouse and it is USB Port.
Again Thank You
Select the PS/2 compatible mouse to SEE if it makes a difference.
Load the drivers for it....or use hibination .. hold down the ctrl key>>...to save power?Thank You Raptor, that selecting the PS/2 worked. It boots just fine now. Again thank you.....A++++
You are welcome. Come back when you've got more problems.
