Answer» I was on a my COMPUTER and out of no where the monitor shut off - not the p.c I thought that maybe it had burnt out and I needed to BUY a new ONE because it was completely dead, but the next morning, the power light thing turned on. so the monitor is 'alive' its just that the screen is completely dead. i tried RESTARTING the p.c but still nothing is turning on. then i checked all the plugs but they're fine. i thought it could be a virus but wouldn't that shut everything down? someone please tell me what the problem is :[have you been tampering with the screen settings? it could be that.Hook up another monitor to the computer or connect the monitor to anther computer. Both EXPERIMENTS will tell you if it's a problem with the monitor or not.
