Solve : MONITOR HAS DVI-D BUT PC HAS VGA? |
|
Answer» I just BOUGHT a PC with only a VGA port but the monitor I want has got both VGA and DVI-D. My question is how would I GET the digital input to the PC? Would I have to get a graphics card or a cable converter? The PC has INTEGRATED intel graphics media accelerator 3100. Thanks calum, but when I contacted Dell support the adviser seemed to think I would need an upgraded graphics card. You won't get a digital output, but the VGA output will do just fine until you decide you want to get a graphics card with DVI output. Quote However, I shall do as you say if I can get a digital output that way.As BC says, it's not digital, but it will work fine. I can't notice a difference between DVI and VGA anyhow, even on my new system - I am in fact using VGA now. Thanks BC Programmer. I understand now.[If those outputs and inputs are correct, then Dell are totally incorrect. [/quote] As BC says, it's not digital, but it will work fine.
