Solve : MicroSoft update download problem?

Go to MICRO SOFT update site scan for updates, screen shows up dates NEEDED ,click on down load, screen shows preparing for download, never shows download  in progress or time remaining ?  TRIED clearing cache, problem still exists. Other sites d/l ok Any HELP on this problem will be appreciated.http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/troubleshoot/
