Answer» I have outlook 2007. I decided to download the outlook personal folders back up tool. When I backed up the FILES to my desktop the folder appears orphaned. I wonder if there is some problem with my outlook program?I have windows xp and recently installed a new hard DRIVE and rstored my outlook mails from the CRASHED hard drive to the new one. [recovering disk space, ATTACHMENT deleted by admin]No third party tool is needed. Just copy the outlook.pst file yourself.This is not a 3rd party tool. I am using the inbuilt microsoft outlook back up tool.was it this?. If so that simply makes backups. I cannot determine what you mean when you say they look orphaned in the SCREENSHOT.
