what is the cheapest way of making my system run smoothly and fix or delete the errors that appear on my screen. I have tried the registry cleaner and it says i have 262 errors. Then it tells me i have to pay 29.95 to fix it and im not KEEN on internet banking. please help

I wouldn't TOUCH EasyCleaner personally. Don't be tempted to remove 'duplicate' files as many are required by the system.

Spyware Doctor is useful and if you know your way around the registry you can use it in UNREGISTERED mode.

The BELL at the back of my head is ringing to tell me that what you have is a bit of adware.

I use EasyCleaner but also keep CLEAR of the Duplicate Files, everything else seems to perform aokAdAware SE, SpyBot SD & SpywareBlaster are also in use by most people, and using a good firewall. I just use the XP SP2 firewall.

Having sufficient RAM also helps.I took my duplicates one by one and manually deleted them after establishing what they were.
Now I get a clean bill of health  What operating system........
