She cannot USE the microphone .It DOESNT work in sound recorder and the test dosent detect a microphone.It is plugged in Ok.The same mic.works on another computer.All the slide volume controls are set ok and nothing is muted.It did work sometime ago but not used since.
Does anyone KNOW what the problem can be or any suggestions?
All I can TELL you she has XP SP1 and a modern computer of conciderable size.
Wally.Try reinstalling the drivers that either came with the microphone, or for the sound.... Also, try running a Windows Update by going to http://www.microsoft.com ... Let us know how things turn out...
