Answer» ( Don't take it so hard, I'm not an englishman) I have a SLIGHT problem here. My copmuter is about 2 years old, and now i finally got it back from a reparation. something about swollen thingies on the mothercard, so they replaced it with a new card(And they also deleted all files, games etc.) But now it isn't what it used to be. i mean the mothercard works alright i suppose. but every program i try to use, always ends up saying: A problem has occured, and i can CHOOSE by sending or not sending some inormation on what the fault were caused by to microsoft. ( im running XP)
So, if you understanded one single word about what i am trying to say, please answer!Whenever something in XP crashes you have the option to report it to microsoft, I'd personally recommend against doing that, but its up to you.I guess you want a reason for the crashes but I haven't got one. This is one of the most difficult problems to diagnose. Suggest you take the beast back to where the new mobo was installed and demonstrate your problem to the techs. Maybe they can do some investigating.
Have you installed SP2??
Good luckOskar Jenssen......It isnt normal for Win XP to be continually crashing ........I can't reall the last time one of my XP machines crashed .......Do you have all the latest updates from M/S ..... SP2........ Is your anti-virus up to date . Do you have some sort of spyware scanners installed ? A good spyware scanner is Antispyware Beta..... GET it at .... http://www.microsoft.com/athome/security/spyware/software/default.mspx
Do you have all the updated device drivers installed ?
If you do and the crashes continue , I would be going back to the SHOP that did the work and be complaining ........... LOUDLY .

Before you shout at the POOR shop repairer, you must consider the Windows license issues....
According to Microsoft, if you replace the major component in your PC, e.g. changed teh motherboard, NIC, hdd etc... you need to reactivate your Windows by phoning Microsoft explain your scenario and they will issue activation code, then maybe your problems will disappear.
Does that help?
