Answer» Ok, this is to do woth my other post, so I was wondering if anyone could tell me what programs are on a windows ME boot disk..... because of major computer errors ill have to download the files one by one and insert them onto a floppy one by one. So can anyone give me a list of whats needed on a windows ME disk? thanks.Wow - I didn't even know that was possible.
Read your other post and seems your troubles are solved so why don't you download an ME bootdisk from Bootdisk.com. It is a self EXTRACTING .exe file and, when you click on it, it will CREATE a floppy bootdisk for you. If you then want to see what's on an ME bootdisk just open it.
However I did it for you 'cos that's what you asked for and here's the resulting list:
IO.SYS AUTOEXEC.BAT MEM.EXE SCANREG.EXE README.TXT FINDRAMD.EXE FIXIT.BAT LABEL.EXE MOVE.EXE XCOPY32.EXE XCOPY.EXE XCOPY32.MOD DELTREE.EXE FLASHPT.SYS EXTRACT.EXE FDISK.EXE COMMAND.COM HIMEM.SYS CD4.SYS CD3.SYS CONFIG.SYS HIBINV.EXE EDIT.COM DISPLAY.SYS COUNTRY.SYS MODE.COM MSDOS.SYS CHKDSK.EXE DEBUG.EXE ATTRIB.EXE EXT.EXE FORMAT.COM HELP.BAT MSCDEX.EXE SCANDISK.EXE SCANDISK.INI SYS.COM CD2.SYS CD1.SYS
Good luck.....
You can download a Windows ME bootdisk image file from here BOOTDISK ARCHIVE and use these DOS command reference pages DOS COMMANDS
Just double-click on the image file and insert a blank formatted floppy in the A: drive when prompted to do so.
This will put all of the needed files onto the floppy.
Are the files in your EBD folder damaged?
Edit: Just read your other post. Still, you could always use another computer.Mac is also right of course Bootdisk Archive is a mirror SITE for Bootdisk.com. The method of creating a floppy bootdisk is identical
Again - good luck
