Answer» I used to drag INTERNET bookmarks to my desktop. Often it would how an icon from the web site. Now They are gone. Recently I did a repair my XP PRO on my Dell 1705 Laptop. I used a Dell XP pro SP3. After that I got updates installed. Why did the icons go away? The screen shot below sows a link dropped on the desktop with the nondescript icon, they one use when there is NON. [recovering disk space - old attachment deleted by admin]Thank you for your help.
