Solve : Losing e-mail address, help!?

Answer»

I have been forwarding e-mails to all my friends addresses for sometime now. About 2 months ago I sent out e-mails to everyone and then recieved an e-mail back, it was from Mailer-Daemon, it said that the e-mail address was disabled or discontinued. I thought maybe they just didn't pay their bill and they're internet sevice was shut off. Now every other week I'm getting more and more of these Mailer-Daemon when I send e-mails. I'm up to 5 now and all these people say theirs computers are running fine. Why am I losing all my e-mail address? Is there something wrong with my computer? what email system are using this could be malwareI'm using internet explorer and it happens on all my mail boxes, AOL, Yahoo, etc. There might be something in your e-mail that is triggering a return.

Anyway, could you post the exact error message you receive in the return mails? (Please edit out any e-mail addresses, but leave the domain names (like "[emailprotected]", etc., substituting "xxxxx" or something for their actual name for privacy reasons). Also, try to answer the following questions as best you can:

Are there any attachments in your e-mails?

Does this happen only when you forward things? Does it happen when you send normal e-mails?

This happens when you forward mails from what accounts? All accounts? You mentioned AOL and Yahoo. What all are you using?

This is what i get sent back from Mailer-Daemon. They all use to go through before, now every week I'm getting more and more sent back.

Most e-mails I forward don't have attachments.

It happens when I forward mail or when I send regular e-mail.

I know it happens on my AOL all the time. I never forward or send anything through Yahoo. I can try Yahoo and see if it happens there too if you like.

Go ahead and try Yahoo and see if you get any similar error. If not, the first thing I would do is contact AOL and see if they can help you track down the problem, as it might be on their end or with their SOFTWARE. Let us know how it goes.
