Solve : looking for freeware rip/convert/burn audio?

Answer»

Hi all.  New to the community.  Have searched all over for this, tried downloading a few programs but nothing is doing what I NEEDNERO, etc.  Not doing the job.  About a month ago my laptop took a nosedive.  Just before it did so I backed it up onto my external hd, but for some reason (perhaps related to the crash), it didn't all back up.  Anyway, the problem I now have is that I had this great software that I was using to burn cd's.  It was freeware.  It ripped, and burned my music.  In addition would convert anything (music, data, whatever) to whatever format I needed, mp3, wma, and back again.  Anyway, you get the gist.  It was a great little program.  But for the life of me I can't recall the name of it.  If anyone knows anything about it, or knows of another that's great, please let me KNOW.  It's pretty easy to use, you do have to sort of navigate back and forth from one screen to another to convert, rip or burn, but all in one program and freeware.  Really would appreciate anyone's help and thank you so much in advance.Seems like freerip fits the bill.

FreeRIP is an advanced CD to MP3 CONVERTER that comes packed with features. At its CORE, FreeRIP reads audio from your CDs and allows you to save them to your coumputer in a variety of digital formats including WMA, MP3, Ogg, Wav, or FLAC audio files (this process is known as CD ripping  or CD to MP3 conversion). Converting your CD audio collection...I'm guessing it was Audacity; http://audacity.sourceforge.net/
