List of Free Anti-Virus Software

This is only a list. It is neither complete nor is it the best. It is startling point.
No links given   Find them yourself. (Often I find links that are contaminated.)
I believe these are are real. But I want your help for MAKING the best choice.

Thank you.    All I use (And ever feel the need for) is either MSE or Avast and then run regular scans with Malwarebytes.  You don't need to WRAP your machine up in layer upon layer of protection - Just be SENSIBLE with what you download and run!Malwarebytes Anti-Malware is not an anti-virus PROGRAM.  It is a very good tool to use in conjunction with an anti-virus program. 

As far as choice of an anti-virus program, I don't think we want to declare a "best" one. Everybody forms an opinion based on personal experience.  So, questions about which one is best will get differing opinions. 

My personal choice is avast! Free Antivirus.  I especially like the Web Shield feature; it has stopped me from viewing numerous malicious websites.
