Answer» I have a GATEWAY Notebook Model No. MX3228, Intel Celeron M Processor and Windows XP - Home Edition SP2. When I close the display screen to put it in standby mode I get the following message:
"The device driver for the 'Agere SYSTEMS AC'97 Modem' device is preventing the machine from ENTERING standby. Please close all applications and TRY again. If the problem persists, you may need to update this driver.
The driver date is 10/14/2005. The driver version is 2.1.60.5
I CLOSED all apps and tried again to no avail. I used the Windows driver update wizard and it said that I had the lastest version. If anyone has had a similar problem and knows a fix I would appreciate your advice.
Thanks.Re-install your MBoard drivers from the driver CD that shipped with the notebook...
