Solve : Laptop specifications?

Answer»

Does anyone have an easy or good way of getting the technical information for laptops? A lot of people ask me to pick out a good laptop for them but 90% of the time I FIND incomplete information on website's descriptions and manufacturers generally only list their latest and greatest.

[Sorry if this is in the wrong place but I didn't think that this quite fitted under the hardware topic so I stuck it here]If you are trying to establish a criteria to fit a person's intended use and other factors ie: budget then you can seek "reviews" that  relate broadly to the defined criteria. Once that presents you with some (but certainly not all) the listed computers that fall into that category then you can REFINE your research to those models and through a combination of manufacturers , sellers and users you should be able to find all of the technical specifications you would want/need. If it turns out to be a recent model then the manufacturer should bend over backwards to provide you with any additional information (if any) on their product as it may lead to a sale (which would be uppermost in their motivation to assist you).If it is an older model then it would depend on whether they are still trying to market it or not. Actually your QUESTION is so broad in nature it is hard to imagine who you would be advising that would need more information than could normally be found via the methods i have already mentioned.truenorthY'know, whenever I POST something like this here I swear the internet corrects itself. Just googled the laptop I had in mind and GOT the manufacturers specification. idkWhat ever works, truenorth Quote from: Accessless on January 16, 2011, 02:31:25 AM
