Will a uk laptop be compatible in australia as we know a lot of electrical goods are not?

The Aussie $ is WORTH about 80 cents US and I think about 43 pennies UK.
If you need any more information I'll ask the Pommie across the road. If electrical plugs is a problem, then go to your local electronics store, and buy electricity adapters... This should help you greatly!

I live in the UK but was recently back in NZ and found the prices pretty competitive there.
When i took my laptop to Aussie which was purchased in the UK I had no problemsI don't see it posing as a problem myself... I wish you luck!
