Solve : keep running out of memory? |

Answer» i've recently downloaded a film onto my pc and whilst trying to watch it using windows media player the message[your computer is running low on memory, quit other programms and try again], so i quit all the other programms and when i tried again and again the message kept appearing. Here's one of your problems, you're trying to delete files from your hard drive to free up RAM. That's not going to do anything except free up SPACE on your hard drive. RAM (Random Access Memory) is a volitile storage DEVICE. Meaning data doesn't stay in it when you turn your computer off. If you want to free up more memory, open up Task Manager (taskman.exe) and kill off some processes that you don't need. Aside from that, go BUY some more RAM! 128 MB costs around $30 these DAYS. |
