Answer» I am tired of my junk mail. Some of them contain hidden messages containing depressing notes on what happened somewhere in the world recently. Anyways, one of my more common mail contains something like this:
DQoNCkhvdyBjb29sIGlzIHRoYXQga2l0dHkgdW5kZXIgdGhhdCBtaW5pIHNraXJ0Pw0KDQoNCmh0 dHA6Ly9td2JnYW1iZGNvY2IubW9yZS1wbGFjZS5 jb20vP3M9M0VCQkwmcT0wVk5qY3pOVEF0WVdG eWNURXpPREUxTnpNDQoNCg0KDQouDQpSZW0NCmh 0dHA6Ly9td2JnYW1iZGNvY2IubW9yZS1wbGFj ZS5jb20vP3M9M0VCQkwmcT0wVk5qY3pOVEF0WVd GeWNURXpPREUxTnpNJnRzPXMmZT04VmVubHNj M1J5WVRWQWFHOTBiV0ZwYkM1amIyMA0KDQoNCg0 KDQoNCkJlc3QgcmVnYXJkcyAsDQpLZWxzZXkg V2hpdGUNCg0KDQoNCg0KDQo=
Does anyone even have the slightest clue as to what it is?
Then sometimes, there is something like this at the end of the message:
Tiernan Elf says; "I learned that skill from many people and places. I learned to speak to the butterflies during a stay at GreyHawk Manor. Strawbearie was there at the same time, and they love her, so she taught me a lot. Cuddlebug taught me some more.
(That's only part of it, simply because I don't want to sit and read to make sure its suitable to be posted on CH, plus, it sounds completely ridiculous):-? :-? :-? i have NEVER seen, heard, or recieved anything like that. then agian you are soliciting your emil address on your signature. could be anybody.Yes, an e-mail in a public forum is fair game for the spambots. No, no. The email address that I get these junk messages to hasn't really ever been posted anywhere. Only my friends and families had it.
I am not talking about the address that the email button under this posts belongs to, or the email address in my sig.
I have 5-6 email addresses. They all have a different purpose.
That's just plain weird email.
Some of them have links in them. I click one once, and got a virus.
I was just hoping that someone would be able to know what the message meant. I would wrap my machine in aluminum foil if i got messages like that...
But seriously if you are concerned you can contact your ISP, forward the wierdo messages and have them block them from their e-mail server and you will never see them again.
patio. 8-)It's from logging on to the Area 51 pics. I know it!
Are these emails from techarena, by chance?Quote I would wrap my machine in aluminum foil if i got messages like that...

patio. 8-) I have. Many times as well. They are all from different addresses, with different names. But they all have similar SUBJECTS...

Are these emails from techarena, by chance? LOL! Well, I know its not! I've been getting these for a LONG time. They put that nonsense at the Bottom of junk mail to confuse SPAM Filters, after all they not make any money from an Advert that gets AUTO Bin'edThe JUMBLED letters and digits you see are >uuencoded< content. In fact this is contained within any email that includes binary attachments (images, programs, zip files, etc). Email can only contain ASCII/Unicode characters, so binary stuff has to be uuencoded into ASCII/Unicode before transmission and then uudecoded at the other end. Most modern email programs do this automatically, transparent to the end user.
In the case of this particular message, it probably has malformed headers, due to a defect in the way the email was constucted by the spammers' software. A common problem, since spammers are always morons. The malformation prevents your email program from decoding the content, for which you should be grateful, actually!!! I was talking about the Nonsense that was legible.
I had no Idea the That the other nonsense was code.
