My friend sent me this and ASKED if I could figure it out. So far I can't so I was WONDERING if anyone here could figure it out I will post it bellow. It is not related to any programming language.

One hint: K RAILWAY ABCDSurely getting someone else to do it is cheating...Given the structure is in 5 character segments as a constant and not coded with number of characters per break REPRESENTING the actual character count per word. You would really need a key. This could be a very complex coded message if every 5 character group had its own key for example. For this you would need a key guidebook to decode each group according to the key in the book for that batch of 5 character place holder. Also with 5 character groups you could have a message that multiple characters in the group of 5 are dead space = spaces to where the word THE could be there with 2 characters that are different = spaces for this group of 5, or all characters could be concatonated without spaces, but without a key guidebook for the groups you could have more than 1 word per group of 5 characters such as 3 words in that 5 character group such as IHADA for I HAD A

If it was coded like this, it would be so much easier

This is just a shift by 1 character place forward in alphabet, but even if it was coded more complex, at least you would know that in a 2 character group one of the characters is likely a Vowel and the other is a Consonant. Once you have figured out vowels you then can substitute these into place of the rest of the coded message and then you get closer and closer to a solution.
