There is a procedure through which Microsoft will take you to validate your copy of XP. At the point in the installation of XP when it reaches validation, you can either perform the validation on line, or speak directly with a Microsoft representative. It is an exchange of INFORMATION. You give them the product key. If it is valid, they give you certain information and certain instructions which validates that copy of XP to your computer. |
