Solve : Installing windows 95 or 98 on my laptop?

hi everyone

i have just got a used laptop from the local college and it has been totally wiped windows INCLUDED, i was told to get hold of a floppy disk with windows 95 on it just to get my laptop working.

i have the disk and when i put it in the laptop it SAY starting windows 95

then it comes up with

Microsoft(R) Windows 95
(C)COPYRIGHT microsoft corp 1981 - 1996.

A:\>

i dont know wot to type in now

If you only have a floppy, it's a boot disk, and not the Windows 95 installation CD. That's what you need to get a hold of.
