Solve : Insert key? |
|
Answer» what is the function of "insert" key on the KEYBOARD?If you're in Word or ANOTHER text editor, and you NEED to type over other text, hit the Insert key and start typing. Instead of "bumping" the text down, it overwrites it. Not very handy anymore, but it used to be used a lot more. Many people remain familiar with the Shift-Del; Shift-Ins SHORTCUTS for cut and paste. I find it's useful in programming, where I copy and paste some code a few times, but only need a slight difference between then, such as a few letters. |
