Viper, I can see your avatar fine. You can resize it with Paint. Just paste it into Paint, then go to Image on the Paint menu and select Stretch and Skew. Enter 10 in boxes for both Horizontal and Vertical Stretch. This will reduce it to 10% of the original size and give you an appropriately sized image for your avatar. Viper, I see you have not changed your avatar file yet. What are you waiting for?I just got fed up with the tiny picture in the avatar, so now I have posted a viper in my signature, and a dancing stick man in my avatar Thanks for the help, which I still ended up using ViperWell, here, take this and save yourself, the forum, and every forum visitor who sees any of your posts some bandwidth: This image is 18,685 bytes vs. 73,103 bytes for your exisiting image, or about 1/4 the file size but looks the same. Edit: By the way, this can be done simply by using Paint. I just copied your 73,103 byte image into Paint and then saved it as a jpeg file.Did you still want something smaller? I just remembered I have Macromedia Fireworks, and I could crop it down for you... (I don't like seeing snakes) In fact, here: (this ones 6KB instead of 16, take a look) (hey, can I upload this to the photoshop PART of my site? Is it your PIC?)zylstra555, did you use Macromedia Fireworks to do that? If so, it does a very good job. Maintained good image quality for such small file size. I NOTICED you did not maintain aspect ratio (ratio of horizontal to vertical dimensions, or vice versa); so, it's a little more rectangular than the original. I changed the dimensions myself. I thought to myself, "If it were mine, I think I would want it more rectangle if it were in a sig instead of an avatar". It can easily be changed.I agree. A more rectangular shape looks better at the bottom of the message. But, watch out, that viper is watching your every move. LOLI agree too, thank you, becasuse it would have taken me several hours to get it right with paint because I'm 'graphicly impared' Thanks again, Viper |
