Answer» I tried to reformat my hard drive on my ibm thinkpad 2652-A31 Win XP pro. Well i removed the BATTERY and the backup BATT. for cmos. Now its says the RTC and DATE need to be UPDATED and prompts me for a password on power up. It wont let me into cmos with the F1 KEY. Please help!May i ask why you have taken out the cmos/and laptop batteries.........is this your PC..
