Solve : i think my computer blew up?

Answer»

i went to germany with a computer i BOUGHT from korea and i forgot to change the voltage setting to 220 and when i tried to TURN on my computer it made a loud POP and now it wont turn on. is there anyway to fix this or did i kill my whole machineYou may have, but then again you may have just fried the power supply unit. (Much cheaper to replace).A loud pop from electrical machinery is not good, even if it sounded like a Champagne cork. Take it from an electrical and mechanical engineer.

Imagine a WORLD with only one voltage on all household ITEMS and only one style of plug... In nomine pluggi et socketti. Maybe that is how electrical systems reproduce.

Maybe not, then we would all have to argue about which one to choose. I wonder if the world was a better place before electricity?

This proves the old adage, "Put enough monkeys in a cage with a supply of bananas and one of them will slip up sooner or later."

Makes you wonder who designed this planet.

Probably Salvador Dali.

Sorry that you have this problem I would get the power supply checked out and then try the new one. If fitting a new power supply doesn't fix things then you may have a really serious problem.

If you are really lucky it might be covered under household insurance if you have comprehensive cover.
