Answer» The volume on my computer is not working. I have checked my volume contro settings, virtual volume is on, my sound is at full blast and I don't hear anything on my computer. Any advice WOULD really help.I know it sounds OBVIOUS, but is it plugged in correctly? (the power and the sound plugs both should be checked) They should be plugged into a green socket
Did you try headphones where you would normally plug in the speakers? If headphones dont work, then its not a problem with the speakers you have.
After ruling out that its not your speakers or connection issues:
Find the My Computer icon (either on the DESKTOP, or in the start menu) Right click it, and click "Properties" Navigate yourself to the Hardware tab, and click "Device Manager" Find your sound driver, and double click it, and click the "Driver" tab, and then click "Reinstall" If you have multiple drivers listed in your sound, and cannot FIGURE out which is the right one, it wont hurt to reinstall all the drivers.
Still wont work? Tell us what operating system you have. (eg. WINDOWS XP, Vista, ME, 2000, 98, 95, NT, 3.11, 3.1, 3.0)
Topic moved from Off Topic to Others I have a toshiba laptop computer with windows xp, in case that helps. Your other tips haven't helped but thanks for trying.
