Solve : I cant access the CD drive?

Whenever I insert a CD or DVD, it will not let my open it.
It just sits there, in the My Computer WINDOW, and doesn't ever open.

Sorry, forgot to include LOTS of stuff.
OS: Windows XP
CD Drive: DVD/CD R/W
After restarting, I a message (see PICTURE)
Also, the computer is only about 1 yr old. There's no way that it could be GOING kerput now.
(Image quality reduced)And the CD ROM is not read only.Fixed it.
The drive was marked as not recordable.
(Cant say I KNOW how it got that way)
I will just copy the file, and see if it workes.
Does anyone know of any good skin programs for Windows 98?Is that the machine with limited resources?Quote
