Answer» So my wife joined Hulu Plus on top of our already EXISTING Netflix Streaming ACCOUNT, and there are shows that she can watch on her computer with no problems. However... when adding a movie to the QUE like you can do with Netflix and then be able to turn on the Sony Blu-Ray/Web Player, Netflix works perfectly fine with selecting the Que and being able to play then the movie or tv show you want to watch with no problems. Hulu Plus however has been very disappoiting with their interface for the Sony Player in that not only does the navigation stink with their interface compared to netflix's menu's, but I cant seem to figure out why when you select a movie or show to be added to the Que on the computer, it does not show up on the Sony player like Netflix normally does.
We are likely going to cancel Hulu Plus if this cant be resolved since its a pain to have to use the Sony Blu-Ray remote to use Hulu Plus's crappy interface to search for a movie title having to search for say Hells Kitchen and you have to press 44 33 555 555 777 then red BUTTON for space and then 55 444 8 222 44 33 66 and then select search. On Netflix it is so sweet that you can have a laptop on your lap, select a movie or show in seconds to add to the instant Que and then select the Que on the player see it there and play it.
Anyone else have this issue with Hulu Plus? Is there a solution or is it just a poor menu interface on Hulu's part?Update:
Digging further after searching for like 15 min with nothing helpful found, I tried a different search adding my player model and I found this:
Looks like it may be related to software on the player. As for this other person complained about same exact issue. Maybe there is a flash/firmware update for the player etc that corrects this. Time to dig on sonys site...oh joy!
Quote I have to agree. The queue navigation GUI is very poor. I've added several new shows on the Hulu website but they don't seem to appear on the Sony blueray player.
The Tivo GUI is much better. I suggest you remove the thumbnails and replace it with a scrolled list of shows. Under each show, list the episodes that are available. ....
