Solve : HTTP 500 error?

Answer»

This has shown up quite a bit when my web page fails, any help would be helpful.

HTTP 500 error, internal server error. This error EMANATES from the particular web server that you are endeavoring to access. There is nothing you can do about it from your end. Other than contact the web site and inform them of the issue.Could be difficult if not impossible if you cannot access their site. There is a site that offers to do it if they are advised. Should you so desire here is a link to their site.

well you are getting free hosting. Basically it just means an error occured while the server was trying to process the page; for example, the php INTERPRETER could crash, or something. Its yahoo then i take it i should have known.

Thank you both for your help.Do you THINK i should use one of the following instead of IE8 for the web and keep yahoo for mail only.

I tried firefox for about 2 months and found it very hard to cope with.

Firefox, Mosaic, Netscape, and Opera. That is entirely a personal choice it will NOT affect the issue you are having with the problem web service. I use opera mainly and am very pleased with it. However i also have an issue with one site i frequently use in that pictures they provide often get transposed. I have informed them but it persists. Probably not too important to them as most subscribers don't use opera.truenorthRight i'm getting mixed up here, i should be taking about BT who supplies my web service  ok, i have just got the new hub and i have to install it yet, the other is 3 years of age so that might be the problem. It's a SERVER error. That occurs on the SERVER, unsurprisingly, and has nothing to do with your local configuration. Quote from: BC_Programmer on September 11, 2011, 10:05:15 AM
