|
Answer» ???I need help with an HP color Laserjet 4500 N. After replacing the transfer kit, I followed the instructions on how to reset the counter. But I find out that there's no "New transfer kit reset if completed" in the reset menu of the PRINTER. If there is another way, please tell me. Thanks a lot.uninstall it from the device manager and uplug it.....now reboot.....and plug.......or just reboot pc and see if it resets itself......Sorry, I should of mentioned it, the printer is a network printer so I cannot try that.Does this help>http://www.csse.monash.edu.au/courseware/cse3153/hpclj4500.mibThat site was informations but I COULD not find a possible solution to what I can do.So how is the network set up.......share printers and files....?what operating systems are used?it's a shared printer, and the pcs run on Win2k. But i don't think it has anything to do with the pcs. It SEEMS like the printer is just missing one of the features on i, which does not allow the transfer kit counter to reset do 100% after replacing the kit.Uninstall it from the device manager.........and unplu the usb cable and reboot.....it.....now remove the softwware and do the same.....the will clear up windows gettting confused by looking for files/etc.....now load the software and then plug the hradware. back in.......hp printers/scanners etc.....like to be re-installed-uninstalled? maybe the chip in the printer is to BLAME?or goto hp site maybe a reg patch for it is available.....and good luck.......did you reboot the pc?Thanks! I uninstalled the printer and UNPLUGGED the printer while off and now its works. Thanks. Thanks for the feedback and thats why we are here to help you?ok |
