Imagine you have two new PCs with fast Intel i7 cores and losts of fast memory. Now imagine a top grade fiber optical cable between the two at a short distance. An imagine you WANT to transmit 8 GB of data that is already in RAM. And you have spare RAM. So, how fast can you transmit the 8 GB from one to the other? Wound it be like 5 gigabit per SECOND? 50? 500?
