Solve : How to standby computer with no power supply?

Answer»

I need this answer... how can i standby my PC with no power supply.. I need this for saving electricity. I already try this in my office room as standby then no power in power supply, no fan spinning... I want to try in my own PC but I can't do on how is it working..? I need this answer from you not my officemate..

Thank youWell, "Standby" mode really is not a fully powered-down mode. You need to use Hibernation. It completely cuts the power, same as regular shutdown. STARTING up from Hibernation takes longer than coming out of Standby, but it's much faster than a regular startup.I already try this using elite GROUP.... 486 motherboard... and I will prove that using standby mode is effective... It is POSSIBLE that it depends on motherboard/power supply?.... I know and it is happen and tested to me that If no power to supply the running program its save on memory.

I need this coz I have a big project on business and I can't tell what's my business.

If im using hibernation it cause time to wait the running windows.

It is possible that it depends on motherboard/power supply? or only elite group.... 486.... motherboard can RUN this?..... Quote from: sanderpards on April 11, 2008, 12:00:47 AM

Well, you will have to prove it because I, and everyone else here, know otherwise. Again, as I said in my previous post:

Since you don't want to accept what I say, use Google or other search SERVICES and do a search on standby vs. hibernate or standby vs. hibernation. You'll find plenty of references supporting what I've said, and nothing supporting what you've said.

Here's one find, from a search: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20061214192220AAm28om
