Solve : How to prevent new duplicate modem entries in Control Panel ?? |

Answer» About a month after updating x32Win10Pro to V21H2 (by MRU instead of Media Creator), I found there were 38 entries for my MODEM : Archer_VR1600v, in the MULTIMEDIA Devices section of Control Panel. I managed to reduce them to 1, but ALMOST everyday a new one appears - I PRESUME when the modem BOOTS up. What would cause that and how could it be prevented ? |
