Solve : How to locate Outlook 2000 files?

Answer»

My old computer went down. I have installed Outlook 2000 on a new computer. I can access my old data via external connection. Where are the contact files located and what TYPE of files are they? The only pst files I can find is my last back up which is quite out of DATE. Maybe this article will help.

yes, that's true for his current system, but he's asking about Outlook files on a hard drive from an older computer. That hard drive is not his current OS drive, or C drive, and I don't BELIEVE he's going to see that path, even with a different drive letter, to his Outlook files on that drive.GOT IT. My problem is that I am running IE7. Goto Control Panel, select folder options, select view, check "show HIDDEN files". You must also UNcheck "Hide protected operating system files". This will show local settings, temporary internet files along with other hidden files
