Answer» Hi, Thank you very much for your support.
Can you convert a ntfs partition in xp home to a fat32 partition?
THANKS No.http://www.powerquest.com/partitionmagic/features.htmlI read that you cannot go from NTFS to FAT32. But you can go from FAT32 to NTFS.A ANOTHER third-party software >http://www.v-com.com/product/Partition_Commander_Home.html which is simular to one already GIVEN..I don't know why anyone would want to do that anyway.
Maybe you should read this and get a better idea of the difference between the two systems.
NTFS/FAT TABLE http://www.ntfs.com/ntfs_vs_fat.htm
NTFS/FAT INFO http://www.ntfs.com
NTFS systems run on optimised 4096 byte clusters.
FAT 32 is not supported on very large drive volumes and works better on small volumes anyway. e.g. My C: drive is just 3·0Gb for ME For XP it should be about 8·0Gb is the general advice, if you want to partition your disk-drive. For an even better understanding of computer file systems read all there is to read on this web-site. http://www.pcguide.com/ref/hdd/file/ntfs/index.htmmore info here if you wish to go this route>http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=300415
