hello all, i'm new in the forum,

i was wondering if there is a way to bypass the firewall , cause i can't download some programs, can't use instant messenger, can't download mp3s and i can't enable java also

---Well, the first thing to do is to try accessing these things without your firewall. If you can't, it's not the firewall causing the problems.

I need more info, like your operating system and what filewall this is.Depending on the firewall, you might see a little icon at the bottom right of your screen. Simply right-click on that firewall icon, and hit disable. Once you are done downloading what you want, right-click on that same icon, and hit enable. This should fix your problem, but more information would be useful...

well i'm in a university and i have my own computer in my room so the firewall isn't in my computer, its in the server itself i guess,

i tried bypassing programs such as "Your freedom" and " Hopster " but the unversity blocked us from using their servers so i don't know what to do

i just want to use MSN messenger!!I guess the University wants you to work and not go on MSN. Even if we knew how to hack a firewall, would it be right to tell you? If you want to access blocked sites, I suggest you either use another computer or talk to the administrator.Quote
