Solve : How to build a computer !!?

Answer»

The subject says it all, I would like to build a computer, are there any BOOKS on the subject, what is the best hardware, whare do I get the components.

As you can SEE I'm a complete beginer on the subject, any suggestions will be most greatfuly accepted

TOMHave a long read here: Build Your Own PC, and then shop at www.newegg.com or www.tigerdirect.com.  Of course, there are many other sources of parts, both online and regular retail shops; the two I mentioned are ones I'm familiar with and I'm comfortable recommending them to you.Nice link there soybean, I'll have to refer my friend to that as he wants to build his own . . . otherwise I'll end up doing it for him, for free of course (why should I be paid for my time and effort?  What a silly thought . . .)
There are many sources of parts, I'm in the UK so I have no knowledge of parts and pricing elsewhere in the world.
Tiger DIRECT and Newegg seem to be the most recommended places though, as mentioned.
If you want suggestions on components, we'll need more info, such as your budget and what you want to do with the PC.Reading is more important than any other aspect. Some folks spend a LOT of money on parts without knowing if they will work together, slap them together and hope for the best. Sometimes it works, but frequently not. Sometimes expensive parts are ruined in the process.A bit of a note:
I have personaly used NewEgg, and I would like to comment that their service is very
reliable
easy to use
great for beginners
WELL organized
good at shipping

Their prices are also very well.
I havent used TigerDirect, but I have heard good things as well

/me giving his opinion every day Quote

I second all those.  Newegg is a great place to purchase stuff from.  Very good service and you usually get things a day or two before they say it will arrive.

I have a very good friend that buys a lot of things from Tiger Direct and he says they are really good.

Also, I agree with GX1_Man, reading up before-hand is a very important part of the building process.
