If I try to download a video, if it is Youtube, there are free very good apps everywhere to do the download. But if it is any site other than Youtube, I can't find an app that can complete the task. On the video I mentioned above, Realplayer prompted me to do a download, but I am not always happy with Realplayer's results.As you have already found, downloading some videos gives results that are not so good. Trying to capture a video while watching it puts a strain on the hardware. So there has to be some frame skipping or a drop in quality. This is a dual boot machine and I use Windows 7 when I need the Speak recognition. Otherwise I stay inn XP most of the time.I beleive RealPlayer has a function that allows you to download .flv videos... if you want to download it then first find out the FORMAT of the video, then search Google for a downloaded which will let you extract that particular file. May I suggest to EASIER alternatives? that does help, but let me refrase the question. If I try to download a video, if it is Youtube, there are free very good apps everywhere to do the download. But if it is any site other than Youtube, I can't find an app that can complete the task. Yes, hard to teach an old dog new trick. This is a dual boot machine and I use Windows 7 when I need the Speak recognition.
