Answer» after i log onto my computer and everything loads, after a couple of seconds all of my desktop ICONS and the toolbar with the start menu disappears. the screen is just my background with nothing else on it. how do i FIX this? everything was fine until i went to switch users and logged onto a different name.i'm not sure about this so no-one good at computers have a go at me if i'm wrong, but i think you have a problem with a process called explorer... press ctrl alt delete when U log on and after everything GOES blank, is there a running process called explorer.exe?Have you disabled them............ if not do this>>Type this in the run box/ rundll32 setupwbv.dll,IE6Maintenance
