|
Answer» I have a desktop that i would like to reformat the hardrive on. When i purchased my desktop, it already has windows xp installed and came with no xp CD, i have the cod sticker on the side with the product key on it but I need guidance on how to reformat without the xp CD can someone please help me?Format, and what? it was successful it reinstalled windowsI restarted my computer and hit F10 and a recovery program started and it gave me one OPTION. I proceeded with that option and it reinstalled windows but it did not completley reformat my desktop? It did.If you want to reformat using a valid key, and reactivate it, you'll have to use original windows xp setup cd. Otherwise you wouldn't get an original windows installed on your desktop. purchasing a new original windows xp setup cd is the only solution.
