Answer» hey averyone
>i BOUGHT a new tv a few days ago and thought that i might be able to connect it to my laptop- the PROBLEM is that the TV has a scart and an aerial in slots, is there a cable or adapter that would allow me to this.(like above where i can drag/drop windows between the 2 screens)
>my other question is that i have a PC monitor and have tries to connect that to my laptop, i have seen people plug theirs into their monitor and have 2 windows open simultaneously and be able to drag between them, have tried this but it will only show the screen i got, how do i do this- is it software i need?
P.S. i live in the UK, incase there are different things to do in different countries
thanks in advance
stuWhat's your OS? When you connected the monitor to your laptop, you saw a window asking you how you WANT to use the monitor, right? You need to tell Windows you want to "Extend your desktop to this monitor".
I can't answer your question about the tv. But, I'm inclined to think using the extra monitor you have is a better choice than using the tv as a monitor.im using windows XP and did not see a window saying how i wanted to use the monitor
thanks for the replyHere's a reference on using DUAL MONITORS: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/setup/hwandprograms/monitors.mspx
