i just bought a DELL Optiplex GX260 Pentium 4, 2.66GHz/512MB/40GBHDD off EBAY without an OS. the problem is i cannot get the thing to read from the disk drive from the bios and even made a boot disk and tried that nothings working... then all a sudden on the screen its saying something about my keyboards disconnected but i know my keyboards working... even tried to put a different HDD in it can anybody help me with this problem???Why oh Why did you buy it with no OS?

These are normally sold with the COA and Windows XP.
The fact that you got it with no OS would indicate that it was sold AS IS and for parts only. If the vendor did not clearly indicate this, go to eBay customer support and file a complaint.If you have a KEYBOARD PLUGGED into the PS/2 connection and it's not seeing it, then your mobo is more likely the culprit than the keyboard, but I agree with the other poster.
